Hi there! My name is Mini Mukherjee, the Creator of Our Smile Project, and I'm happy you stopped by. Our Smile Project has evolved since it began in February 2015, when I was working at an early-stage startup in Los Angeles and felt my heartstrings pulling me in a different direction. I took and step back and realized I was running out of excuses as to why I still wasn't writing. After years of battling my inner critic, I got fed up with feeling like I wasn't "good enough" creatively and I decided to to just START. I built this site and started pushing out stories that meant something to me. Done is better than perfect, in this case. 

Paying attention to your life down to the moment can provide answers when you need them the most. That's why I created Our Smile Project - to capture "snapshot moment" stories that have forced me to love more, be more and see more. The story topics I tackle are diverse, as are my characters. The common thread is that each story focuses on perseverance, empathy and self-awareness, and is digestible in a few minutes (1,500 words or less).  

I'm now in Year 2, and the OSP creative circle is growing. While the first year was a heartening experience to put my work out into the world and hear from so many amazing readers, this year I want more voices heard. My vision for OSP is to be an evolving collection of meaningful moments from people all over the world captured in story form. After all, this is OUR Smile Project so --> more voices = more smiles!
